E-blast for Lace Photography
July 2nd, 2010Beautiful e-blasts and e-newsletters are a powerful way to spread the word about your business. If you are a photographer, designer, or in any type of “visual” business, your promotional material must be top-notch. If it isn’t, then you may not get any response or worse of all, may be sending the wrong message to your potential clients… giving them a reason NOT to call you.
E-blasts with a visual appeal, prevent your readers from having the “delete + dismiss” phenomenon. This happens when you have a lot of people on your e-mail list, but no one ever responds. If this is the case with your marketing campaigns, maybe it’s time to rethink them and give me a call

BusinessWeek – European Chamber in China
June 15th, 2010We’ve been working on a wonderful project for the past few months for the European Chamber of Commerce in China. This is a very important annual report, presented by RolandBerger Strategy Consultants, which summarizes the economic conditions in China for European businesses. Flavors Media has been chosen to design the report for the second year in a row. Although we would love to show you the final project, it has not been released to the public or the press, so for now, we would like to show you one of the magazines the report has been mentioned and quoted. The above magazine is BusinessWeek/China. More information on the report as well the full design will be coming soon!

St. Louis Entertains Magazine Spring/Summer Issue
May 18th, 2010I am thrilled to announce that our fourth issue of St. Louis Entertains Magazine has been delivered from the printers and will be in distribution within a few days. This magazine has been a labor of love for me and my team. It is the most challenging project I have ever worked on, but also, the most gratifying.
Many people ask me why I started this publication. An over saturated St. Louis market filled with tons of publication. Print media and advertising… on its last leg. You name it, I heard it!
There are a few reasons, but here are the most important. I wanted to show my clients that I not only talk the talk but I walk the walk too. I wanted to create a product myself, market it, promote it, and make it successful. I feel that St. Louis Entertains Magazine accomplishes this and more! It is the first magazine of its kind in St. Louis, it is the FASTEST moving magazine (when it is initially released, the magazines disappear within hours of being delivered to the stores). We also have subscribers who love and enjoy the magazine… from all over the country!
Best of all, St. Louis media, especially television, has given us many accolades and air time and we have even been awarded a regular monthly time slot on Channel 4’s Great Day St. Louis.
Getting advertising for the magazine is always a challenge, however, the magazine is not only profitable, but we continue to bring in fresh new advertising to our magazine issue after issue. We’ve even been told by some of them that they will be our clients for life.
And our fans.. oh our fans… they have been incredible and supportive.
We’ve accomplished all this with only one year under our belt and just released our fourth issue. In the publishing world, this is considered close to a miracle!
So for all our existing and future clients, feel good knowing that when you hire Flavors Media to help you with your next project or even venture. We will have the expertise and experience to not only help you get there but also become a success!
Beautiful E-Newsletter Design
May 9th, 2010Our client, EasiConsult, wanted an e-newsletter that was going to pique the interest of their top corporate clients, like Hewlett Packard, Rolls Royce, and more. Template e-newsletters lack professionalism and just get deleted… so they came to us for a custom design that would invigorate their client base.

May 5th, 2010The Collosal Chocolate Dream Cake
April 29th, 2010Yesterday I made a collosal four layer chocolate cake filled with raspberry preserves, walnuts, and white chocolate chips. The cake turned out to be VERY tall but beautiful. If you have some time and would like to make something delicious this mother’s day, I highly recommend this cake! For the recipe, click here
Yum!
April 28th, 2010I always love a “delicious” looking photo and I had to share this with you. I am in the process of editing St. Louis Entertains Magazine, which should be going to print early next week (Yes!). This is one of the photos from an article called the “Perfect Tea Party”. It was styled by the wonderful Jane Winter from Wildflower. If you saw our Winter issue, Jane had the “Winter Dinner” feature and while we were there shooting it, she made a spread for us with all the necessities for the perfect tea. Since Jane is English and absolutely loves a good cup of tea, we took her on as an expert! The above photos are the scones that she prepared. The recipe will be both in the magazine and on the St. Louis Entertains web site.
If you are a tea lover, you will enjoy the article which not only has some delicious recipes but also talks about making the perfect cup of hot tea!
