Chocolate Deviled Bundt Cake

November 21st, 2011

No doubt, there is a very strong connection between the holidays and baking.  For some, baking is a form of gift giving, for others, such as myself, it is a way to make my house smell delicious, festive, and welcoming.

Last week I made this delicious Chocolate Deviled Bundt Cake.  I had to photograph it because, knowing my love for trying new recipes, I hardly ever make anything more than once.  The chocolate cake was filled with melted marshmallows, candied cherries, and walnuts.  It was topped with a chocolate glaze and fresh strawberries.  In the middle I put a container filled with whipped cream so when someone would slice into the cake, they could put a dollop of whipped cream on top.  The word DELICIOUS would not describe it…Okay, so chances are, I will probably have to make this cake again… and again!!!

The Collosal Chocolate Dream Cake

April 29th, 2010

Yesterday I made this collosal four layer chocolate cake filled with raspberry preserves, walnuts, and white chocolate chips.  I took this photo of it because I have a feeling that I won’t be making a four-layer cake for a while, so I may as well remember how gorgeous it looked!  My biggest challenge was making sure that it didn’t fall over.  Slicing was also “interesting” since it tended to wobble a little.  However,  the cake turned out to be VERY beautiful… worth the challenges.  If you have some time and would like to make something delicious this mother’s day, I highly recommend this cake!
